"this is why i've been crying mommy!"

This is the toothiest grin I've seen! He has been cutting 4 teeth at once..all canine teeth...or eye teeth..? The result is that when he's not laughing and being a silly little boy he's throwing awesome temper tantrums. DH want's to spank him when he does...im not sure that's the answer. I do ignore the behavior. Honestly when he get's sleep/food/drink/diaper he's happy, but he hasn't been hungry at lunch...cause he's sleepy, etc...so the schedules are off. Well I gotta get back to him...He had fun at his cousin's 1st birthday party...he blew on his party favor...it took him awhile to get it but he finally was walking around blowing it into peoples faces...  Posted by Picasa

a trade off

Im alittle worn down right now. I just served up Chunks dinner to have it thrown all over the place. I wasn't sitting there but I thought he would love it...So I made him sit there the whole time i was loading the dishwasher and then cleaned up the mess. I went to his room and rocked for a second and he acted sleepy so he's in the crib napping. I realize it's 6:00 pm but he took a really early one today and we were at Wal-Mart for 3 hours getting an oil change. So with the freak outs and the tantrums I guess I get the cute talking fun stuff...woopideedoo! Okay update He slept for 30 minutes but woke up screaming mad and sweaty. He ate some crackers and drank some milk and then we went to Braums for ice cream. Yes he ate some...and then had a really bad diaper. Not sure if it's cause of the ice cream or if it was hurting him anyway. We came home and he played in his new kitchen and i managed to take a few pics..not many cause he stops playing and starts wanting the camera.

yes it's time to look back....sniff sniff

I am up tonight...cramping as luck will have it, headache stuffy nose and asthma...woo hoo...but i'm not really wanting to sleep ...Oh yeah and there is no reason to cramp anymore so im confused alittle...and looking up stuff on WebMD Chunks dad is putting the movies on the computer and then we are burning it to disks..he showed me the film of him in october swinging...he was just learning to crawl....and all i have to say is ...butterbean, rolly polly...I know he was tall then, but he was a fat gushy, cheeks so sweet you want to kiss them all day cute!! And I started crying...We went to church today (jackpot! btw) and he didn't say goodbye, see ya, nothing...he started playing and didn't even look up from his fun when dh dropped of the diaper bag. It was awesome. Lots of little kids between 1-2 and he had a blast. Although it's not a picture from the actual playground...maybe I'll work on video for this later, here's a picture from the same month...He still has chubby cheeks thankfully, but he did find his neck lol!

I am no historian

Im glad I was never nominated for Student Council Historian. I have alot of family and friends who take pictures every second of the kid's life and every moment is preserved forever. I did not remember the date that my child first walked....Im terrible. This weekend was my family reunion and this is the only picture that I managed to take. I somehow left my camera on and it died. This picture will tell you that the only time I can take a picture is when he sleeps as I am scolding, chasing and pretty much run ragged all the other hours of the day. The reason the chunk looks tired? He woke up at 3:30 AM to PLAY. He cried in the pool and started laying his head on my shoulder poor guy. My mom took him back and he stayed this way for a few hours while I swam. Posted by Picasa

Volleyball

We watched Daddy play volleyball on Saturday. Someone gave him a bottle of water which he downed in a few minutes, and poured the rest out. We were there really early so it wouldn't be so hot. He ate his breakfast and drank his milk right there. I haven't had much to report except we have been fighting about him getting up on the couch/table. I'm having to punish him for it all since I really don't want him getting on couches of my friends. Sorry y'all for it now...I've let it get out of control and he really needs to learn.

Water Boy

Chunk is hacking and realizing what happens when you stick your head in a sprinkler. I love the sneeze picture it's such a familiar look for me, so he looks just like me in this pic! He's so proud to be running through the sprinkler. I finally captured his expression. This is his look for the whole time we are at the splash pad. No wonder he's tired when we leave. Another hacking and coughing picture.... Posted by Picasa

just not my day today

It's going to be short and sweet but I learned a dangerous lesson today. Do not hand your keys or let the baby hold the keys to pacify a temper tantrum while you put the grocery cart up. I actually turned and pushed it. But in that time, the chunk locked the door. The car was hot, it was nearly 100 or more by 3:00. I stood there banging on the windows saying "push the other one button" Finally he started getting upset cause i wasn't getting in the car. I ran to the grocery store told them to call the fire dept. Then I continued to bang on the door and try to get him to open the door. All the time i'm remembering those poor babies that die when their parents forget them in the backseat. Here I am watching and helpless. I had several people who tried to help, several who said "good luck" (????!!!) and one blessed lady that said "you need to call Spears (some number gibberish in my mind)" I said I don't have a cell, it's in the van. She said here's mine..dialed it. I don't even remember getting the phone, talking or giving it back. The Chunk was in trouble that's all I could think of and my god what an idiot i was...was a close second. This was slightly more crazed than when he dive bombed off the changing table and i thought he broke his arm. Having my life flash before my eyes Im used to, having his is unnerving. So this man from Spears Mechanical and Salvage pulls up and puts a master key in the door and unlocks it. The firemen who were frantically trying to save chunk kind of went "huh?" I hugged his neck...but he slipped out while I was taking care of chunk and I didn't get his name or get a chance to give him money or anything..but it'll happen Friday after payday. I also sent a prayer out to the lady that was kind enough to say Spears. Of course i would have broken the window in a few more minutes...throwing a shopping cart on the back window was my next resort.
