I play even when I'm sick

Today we went outside even though I've had a terrible cold and cough and chunk is getting. I was in the process of posting this blog during his naptime when he was coughing, and couldn't catch his breath. It was very scary cause at one point he choked and was limp. I threw him in the bathroom and turned on the hot shower. Im happy I got him a vaporizor last night. Needless to say we have had no nap today. We got into see the dr who gave him some steroids and told me that it'll be the worst night tonight. So I may need to just sleep with him I'm not sure. I do know that it takes a strong mommy to take care of a sick kid, so pray for this sick exhausted mommy. I hate getting sick.  

Popcorn boys

this is a nightly ritual lately. They are my popcorn boys. Chunk now says "pop, daddy?" He knows that popcorn is something he and daddy do together.

im never bored over here!

Friday night we took Logan out to eat fajitas. We are having a mexican food breakdown of sorts over here. I think i've had it for three days straight. I am trying to diet (ha ha ha!). So I had a meltdown. Working out every day and dieting or trying to ...i had to revolt. But you gotta love the fact that the three of us can eat one order of fajitas. The chunkster loves onions. He likes to grab them off the plate. It's alittle weird to have a baby with onion breath but oh well. Immunity is always up around here. Saturday we hung out and rearranged the furniture only to find that it only can exist one way in our house. So, I will have to punish chunk more when he gets on the couch. Since he fell off the back of the couch/windowsill onto the floor headfirst saturday and i saw the neck bend..thinking..."where's my phone.....hmmmm...oh whew..he's up...okay it's all good." Oh and chunk gave me fish kisses..gotta love it... We had a good day at church today too. We participated in Samaritans purse and sent a box to a kid in africa I think. Not too sure at this point. But we came home to take a three hour nap. It was awesome. Actually Steve's was longer...He actually was asleep when I was trying to get L down. This week is a short one and I hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving.

the last days of summer?

Since It has been mid to high 80's the last few days, it was ideal to let chunk run around and get all his energy out. Yeah right. He played so hard yesterday and me too for that matter. Im alittle exhausted. My back was sore last night and it has turned into a headache. I hate starting the day out that way. Chunk had fun yesterday with his girlfriends. He tends to move from one area to another pretty quickly and the girls would follow him and then he'd move back it was pretty tiring. Age limits do not apply to us as well. He and I ventured on top of the oil derrick tower and went down the spiral slide several times. A cold front is a perfect excuse to stay inside today and rest. here's more pictures from yesterday to browse...

weekend happenings.

Not much to report on the homefront except we went to see my parents this weekend to leave dh to study for his test. Chunk ran a fever the day after sitting in a wal-mart cart. Even with my germ-x wipe down he still got something again...gonna have to ban carts. I have a cover but he always finds an exposed place and touches it. So I didn't get to see my friends new baby. Guess it'll wait. we celebrated my grandmother's 76th birthday however. It was nice to see all the family minus a few who were missed. Seemed like my folks had alot to do though since their church was officially in their new building they were all rushing around and busy in preparation for it. It looked nice. He can play with older and younger so it's really fun for him.
