Im Still bringing up the chunk, just too busy for pictures sometimes!

We are definitely in a period of flux. Things are happening really quickly lately. We are trying to deal with them as they come, as of late, they are coming all at once. The Chunk is understanding more and more and rebelling more and more. He really thinks he is a big boy. He wants whatever we have and wants to do everything. Latest changes are he's sitting at the table with us in a booster. He likes it and we really enjoy having him eat from the table. I've been giving him spoons at dinner to see if he will use it. He's been playing with them for the most part. I gave him a bowl of applesauce tonight and as you can see below he is beginning to catch on. However by a certain point he just wanted the applesauce and stuck his fingers in the bowl like he is used to doing. We got him a potty chair so we can at least have him know what it is. He follows me into the bathroom anyway when I go so why not. It interferes with his boy parts though so i'm not sure about it. Tonight he was acting like he was using the bathroom and I asked if he needed to potty. He ran to the bathroom and tried to open the door and then danced around till I got his diaper off. (Im thinking the whole time wow). But he had just peed so nothing happened. I did take him to a waterpark this week where he always has fun. He wore himself out and slept 4 hours! I probably should have woken him up earlier but I was tired too! He kind of rolled aroun in the crib when I went in there though. We had an interesting weekend however. We were getting the gate and the potty etc and the Chunk started whining and wanting to hug me in the store. I thought he was just trying to used the bathroom or something and was having trouble. We went to the lay a way area for the good bathroom and the workers were waiting in line. The Chunk threw up all over me and himself. The workers quickly let me use that bathroom. Most likely I made work for them. I think he ate till he threw up. He had no fever but he was eating a ton of fruit at lunch, plus it was hot. I sometimes forget how little their bellies are. Anyway I am getting ready for my week. I am loving a few blogs. I thought i should post a link here. http://shapeofamother.blogspot.com/ and http://lovehonoranddismay.blogspot.com/ Posted by Picasa

More Pictures

Okay these are the rest of the portraits we had taken. Unfortunately for DH he got hot and he gets a weird complexion when he does. So the result is that he hates his pictures...However I have edited the picture below to make his complexion alittle more normal. Logan's hair looks red! And this is the day before his buzz cut. But you gotta love his expression. I need to get him a fishing pole. I let him run loose today while the plumber was here ...don't ask :( He went straight to the stove, pulled out a pot, reached up to the range and put it on top, said "Cook." Steve didn't believe me though. So he asked Logan did you cook today? Logan said "cook" His new words are "Cool", "dude" and "yeah." While the plumber was here I said I better put you in my room cause you'll get into trouble won't you? He said "yeah" right on cue. The Plumber laughed. He thought Logan was entertaining I think...however it still didn't make his bill any less...so oh well.  Posted by Picasa

18 months used to mean so little to me

Now it's monumental. Before 18 months would go by and I might have a different car, or I might have different hair color, new job, but everything was the same... Look at this baby that is now a boy in most aspects. It really blows me away. His ability to relate to other people and kids. He is very considerate of other kids and very curious about others. He likes to laugh and thinks that he is the funniest person. When he plays, he'll always stop and give me a hug and a kiss, always happy to make the appropriate sound effect. Bundle of Energy and Happy all the time. I've enjoyed every day with my little guy. Honestly I don't think there was ever a bad day *KNOCKING ON WOOD* When He's sick I get to cuddle and nap all day with him. He's definitely been a great cardio workout! I guess I'm just writing this mushy post to deal with the fact that my baby is growing up. Posted by Picasa

Buzz Buzz

This is my Windowsill. I've been picking my tomatoes the moment they turn orange. I learned my lesson a few weeks ago when I missed a few and found them half eaten by birds. Yay Summer. The tomatoes that I started from seed are doing the best. They aren't huge tomatoes but the plants are strong and the fruit is growing close to the main stalk making it easier to control. The plants we got at the nursery however aren't doing too great. The plants got too big for my garden and the result is broken vines. We have ants as well around the peppers and the plan has been eaten by something. I haven't updated for awhile. Friday I had a playdate at my house. Misty and Trisha came over with their little ones. It was fun, but next time i'm making sandwiches. Highlights were the girls screaming when the sprinkler would get them, Logan peeing on the couch when his diaper blew off (it was heavy with the 3 glasses of water he chugged in the pool) and my food processor blowing up while making smoothies. It was a good day because I ended up getting a new smoothie maker that does not blow up when making the chocolate chip freeze smoothie, but actually produces a "frappaccino like" result. Oh and Logan kissed his first girl (lol). Sunday we had family portraits made. I made an appointment with Olan Mills. We show up 5 minutes early to find a family already taking the picture, another family choosing their portraits all inside a tiny room. Meanwhile nobody says a word to me, a mother with a grocery cart full of children are behind me thinking they are next. We went to Wal-Mart and found it completely empty. The whole process was 5 minutes long. You can't beat that. Monday we cut Logan's hair into a buzz cut. He did okay considering the noise of the clippers. his head has so many waves in it we missed some hair but after some trims it is really cute. He looks like such a boy. He had quite a bit of hair and all curly. The last month or so I've noticed alot more hair. Here is a good profile shot of his head. He is watching t.v. (of course). Okay anytime I take pictures these days this is the end result. Why? Because he loves to look at the viewer on the camera and when i turn it around to take his picture the poor guy can't take it. But, it shows how cute his haircut is...and let's face it he's cute when he cries...It's so pathetic isn't it? One last thing. DH sat in front of me to have me rub his back last night. Logan had to come and help. it was really cute. He also likes squeezing Daddy's face and Uncle Craig's too. He liked feeling the stubble I think. Posted by Picasa

Hollywood

Logan finally let us put his sunglasses on...his ears are too cute. He is getting so fun. Well he's been fun for awhile but he's just learning and doing so much. All the toys that he didn't "get" he does now. He's pretending now when he plays and acting like us. He loves to play in kitchens and act like he's stirring, and then sip the spoon. He's repeating everything we say (uh oh) this is just a short post as there isn't too much to say...I just can't believe he's my lil chunk...cause he's getting pretty tall and skinny. I think we are going to get his hair cut like a big boy. Because of his cowlick in the front and curly hair we will most likely keep it really short.
